I really can't wipe the smile off my face! Last night the DH and I were sleeping and he rolled over to put his arm around me, it was across my stomach. And he says "Wow, your stomach is so much smaller" YEAH!! I said, really? And he said yeah. Then this morning I called him just to let him know I made it to work, and he mentioned it again!! Its just nice to hear since I've been working really hard at this pre-op thing.
On a silly note. I let Maddie dress herself today. I wasn't up for the battle. I'm going to try to post a picture later, lime green shirt, pea green dress with white polka dots, hot pink pants and black boots. Good lord. She then asked me "Mommy, don't I look cute??" And I told her, "Maddie all I can say is WOW!" with a smile of course. Didn't have the heart to crush her little spirit. At least its not picture day!!

Hehehehe! That sounds like quite the outfit. I hope you do get a picture up, I'd love to see!
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO! Marc told me last night that my arms look smaller. It's those little moments that make all the struggles so worth it.
It's so nice when compliments like that slip out!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so warm and fuzzy! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteYou *know* it's smaller if a DH noticed it! They are usually oblivious. (Or at least mine is)
ReplyDeleteYay for smaller stomachs and fabulous fluorescent Maddie outfits! :)
Nice to get the compliments especially from the DH.
ReplyDeleteMy son used to go to school with his shirt inside out. He'd come home with them right side out only because he had to change for gym. Pretty colors make us all happy.
My daughter is Maddie too and it sounds like they have the same fashion sense. LOL. Wahoo for your NSV! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love it when the guys actually notice something! I guess they get used to seeing us all the time so it means so much more when they hand over a NSV. I can't wait to see a picture of that outfit, it sounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is great at so many things - but compliments is not one of them. I told him that once I'm banded and weight comes off, I expect him to help me by complimenting as I lose weight. You'd think he would understand that it works in his benefit - *wink wink* - when he makes me feel sexy. Anyway, good for your husband and lucky you.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit sounds cute! I can't wait to see the pic!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for smaller bellies! That's awesome!
Both of my daughters dress themselves and sometimes I just have to shake my head. I figure there are really only a few good years when one can do that in life and if they like the way they look, who am I to impose my judgement?
