Shout-outs and Exersise plans.....

Last night was one of the best nights ever. I have been explaining to my husband for what feels like FOREVER that I am overwhelmed. Things stink at work, I'm always doing all the housework, the cooking, the errands, the kids stuff-ya know the same as every other mom. But there are times that I crack. When it all gets so overwhelming that we have to have a come to Jesus meeting. The down side is they don't really work. He will help out for a little while, but it doesn't last long and things go back to the way they were. Kind of a vicious cycle.

But recently he's been super sweet. I asked him if he was dying-then I asked if I was dying! LOL. He is a sweet guy, but he's usually not as verbal as he has been. Ok so to the shout-out. Over the weekend I came up with a schedule that I read out to him with things for him, myself and the kids to do. He had a glazed over look so I totally did NOT think he heard me. Well, I was wrong. When we got home yesterday he had thrown in a load of wash, emptied Maddie's back pack, helped her with her homework and packed her backpack. I know it doesn't sound like much but even if it only lasted that day it was great.

Exersise Plans: My youngest sister, the skinny bitch, is studying to be a phys Ed teacher. She is also getting her spin instructors and personal training license. So I decided that I should reap the rewards of her fancy education and she is going to train me 2x a week! Tomorrow is the first day. I'm excited......I hope this will help keep me honest. I want to lose 15 by the end of the year-

Ok, I have talked enough for now!

  1. Jenny!! LOVE you!! I think "honey do" lists are essential because husbands need to pitch in and get a dose of what the wife has to do all the time! How sweet that he listened and helped you out!!

And Im so jealous of your personal trainer sister!! I would definitely take advantage of that! You can be down 15 by the end of the year no problem!

  2. You can totally lose those 15 lbs by the end of the year!

My husband sounds very similar. I typically have a melt down, he helps for a week or so, and then bam..back to the way it was before. However I have to remember that he does tons of things that I don't do. But how hard is it to fold some laundry! :) Gotta love em anyway!

  6. I love that your sister is gonna train you. Nobody can taunt you the way a sister can, so I predict you will drop those 15 in no time! Glad your husband is pitching in to do his share.

  7. Hey, I think your end of year goal is GREAT! And yeah, totally take up your sister on the training, that is an amazing opportunity for you to get to do that! I hope the hubby helps out. I'd have a daily honey do list of a few simple things, just to get him used to reguarly helping with VERY simple things! Good luck!

  8. I would HATE to have my sister as a trainer. I need some motivating me...not just getting back at me for ruining her favorite shirt in 10th grade. I think men needs the lists and the stuff spelled out. Most are very linear thinkers.

  9. I was just talking to my hubby about the same thing the other day. That I do EVERYTHING and get sick of it. We don't have kids (yet). If we did, I would have probably already been committed to a padded cell by now. :)
